Back to Pens

2008 Portland Pen Show (pg 2 of 3)

I took so many pictures, that I thought I'd break them up a little, so those old fogies that are still in the 20th century and using dial-up don't have to wait more than four minutes for the page to load. Click on each picture for a larger (800x600) version.

Now John can wait while I make up my mind which pen to buy. Ooh, I'll take the Waterman Executive trio (not shown). Bruce Hirschman of Bruno Corsini Pens creates new pens in a variety of materials using vintage nibs. John Scwab thinks he saw that pen on Gary and Myrna Lehrer's web site a lot cheaper. Marilyn Zornado's table features "Adventures in Penland" by Fremont Garden Press. I am there!
Gail Arno tells a customer that this pen comes in any color he wants, as long as it's blue. Rick Propas smiles at another convert to the ways of the Pelikan. Stephen Miller and Kim Sosin discuss ways to get more people to join the PCA, after having rejected my idea of a free Waterman #52 for each new member. Jonathon Goss and Sarah of John Mottishaw's www.nibs.com enjoy a short break from all the customers flocking to the "MasterCard/VISA" sign.
Brent Selnau is happy that he finally sold his Sheaffer display case. Greg Minuskin is smiling because he's finally taken in enough vintage nibs for "repair" to make a "nib necklace" for his wife. Someone needs to tell Bruce "Grem" Grembowski that other companies besides Waterman made fountain pens. Frank and Sam Fiorella are too busy taking care of customers to pose for the camera.
