2008 Portland Pen Show (pg 1 of 3)

The Fifth Annual Portland Pen Show, July 11-13, was a blast! I had a great time, and I hope you did, too, if you attended. If not, you'll have to stop by next year. Below you will find a few pictures I took while wandering away from my table. Click on each picture for a larger (800x600) version.

Full details about the show are available at the Portland Pen Show website.

Stephen Miller contemplates buying a pen from Stuart Hawkinson. Too late! Don, another customer, ponies up the cash. Joel Hamilton asks his wife, Diana, if she will find that "Perfect" pen for the customer this time. Sherrell Tyree pretends she didn't hear. Alan Brookings' shirt is prettier than some of his pens.
Brian Johnstone will gladly accept Canadian Dollars for his pens. Saul Kitchener has just told Harvey Rabinowitz that the pens Saul just bought are worth twice what Harvey charged for them. Stuart Hawkinson is just as happy writing with a Parker Jotter as with a fountain pen. Two dollars for all those pens? I'll take them!
Oh, two dollars for the rest of your SoBe drink. No thanks. Laban Pens: So beautiful, they sell themselves. Just another day in paradise for Ken Schillinger--Paradise Pens' table, that is. Taccia Pens: Beautiful pens, beautiful display, and beautiful representative (Shu-Jen Lin).
Dave Smith smiles after almost taking a drink from the cup on his left. Ray Kuncz and his wife brought so many pens they decided to get a table after all. Garry Hart's giant pencil has a giant eraser for the invetiable Sunday discounts. John Strother is getting ready for his "tough sell" approach.
