BCS Still Trying To Get It Right

While Cal is out of the top 25 this year, Oregon is #5 by the BCS.  They should be in on of the four championship bowl games, then, right?  Wrong.  Oregon is playing #23 Oklahoma.  Looks like the BCS fails to respect the Pac-10 (unless the team's from southern California).  Let's take a closer look at those match-ups:

#1 USC vs. #2 Texas in the Rose Bowl.  So far, so good.

#22 Florida St. vs. #3 Penn St. in the Orange Bowl.  What?  No challenge this year for the Nittany Lions.

#6 Notre Dame vs. #4 Ohio St. in the Fiesta Bowl.  Should be an excellent game.

#7 Georgia vs. #11 W. Virginia in the Sugar Bowl.  While this will probably be a decent game, but why have #5 Oregon and #8 Miami of Florida been overlooked?
